Words matter!
You can build with your words! Nations have been built through words. Philosophies, movements, masterpieces and relationships have been birthed out of words.
You can destroy with your words. They materialize hate, dishonor, gossip, and even death.
Here’s the reason: words are the bridge between ideas and actions. In fact, this is how God created the world, through words:
“and God said…” (Gen 1:3a)
“In the beginning was the Verb, and the Verb was with God, and the Verb was God.” (John 1:1)
You can see it in your every day life as well. If you tell your children they are losers, they will believe it and become it! If you tell them they are winners… well, you get the drift.
So… save yourself some destruction and dishonor in your life. Speak blessings onto others! Bless people with your words! Sprinkle all your relationships with verbal blessings! Declare good things over your life, your family, your church and your city, and honor Jesus while you’re at it!
You only have but a few words left, and you’ll be held accountable for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM… make sure they are good ones.
